Completion includes learning the system

A new pool is not fully handed off when the equipment first turns on. The water, finish, automation, heater, sanitation and operating modes must be started, observed and explained.

Startup responsibilities

The exact startup procedure depends on the interior finish, equipment and water conditions. The client should receive clear instructions about brushing, chemistry, heater/salt timing, filter care and any early operating restrictions.

Do not combine generic finish-startup advice with a manufacturer-specific program. The installed finish and warranty instructions control.

Equipment commissioning

Commissioning should confirm:

  • Pumps prime and operate through the intended modes.
  • Valves and actuators move correctly.
  • Filter starting pressure is recorded.
  • Heater, gas and controls operate under the required conditions.
  • Salt system is enabled only at the appropriate stage.
  • Lighting and features correspond to labeled controls.
  • Schedules and freeze-related functions are configured where applicable.

The service relationship

Artistix works with a trusted independent service partner who performs equipment startup/settings and is normally introduced for ongoing pool maintenance. The partner is not described as an in-house Artistix service department.

The handoff should clarify:

  • What Artistix addresses during project closeout.
  • What the independent service partner maintains.
  • How manufacturer warranty service is initiated.
  • Who handles routine chemistry and cleaning.
  • What constitutes an urgent shut-down or service call.

Client handoff package

  • Equipment list with model and serial numbers.
  • Current manuals and warranty-registration records.
  • Labeled equipment-pad photograph.
  • Valve and operating-mode guide.
  • iAquaLink account/control instructions.
  • Initial settings and schedules.
  • Finish and water-care instructions.
  • Independent service-partner contact.
  • Warranty and escalation routing.

Continue planning for ownership

For a smoother handoff, continue with the First 30 Days, Quarterly Pool Care, Annual Property Care and material-maintenance guides. Keep equipment records, warranty information and service contacts together so the right help is easier to reach.
